It has been said that we live in the greatest nation on Earth. If that’s true, why does Obama and the Democratic party want to fundamentally change it? We may never know the true answer but one thing for sure is that it is changing. We are losing our middle class and it’s not because they are getting rich. Many have went into survival mode to try to keep their standard of living. They don’t know if their future retirement goal will be enough or can even be achieved. Living paycheck to paycheck has become common place. The poor have also been affected. They have been sold a bill of goods that because of the current financial problems in this country, they deserve to let the government take care of them. That’s like putting a band-aid on a broken leg. We need to address the problems that’s causing this crisis and correct them, not throw more money at it and hope it goes away. After 6 years of the Obama administration they have raised the national debt by 7 trillion dollars and our economy has not improved but in many respects gotten worse.
3 John 1:2 (KJV)
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Many people believe that if they just made more money they would be happy. Truth is having money only changes life’s problems to a different kind of misery. How many rich or influential people have you heard of that are addicted to drugs or alcohol, have severe mental or emotional problems or even commit suicide. God speaks a lot about money and prosperity, He want’s His children to be prosperous but that doesn’t only include money, it also includes health, happiness and personal growth. Even the poorest person living in the US is richer in many respects than the majority of the rest of the world.
The Entitlement Trap
There is no government entitlement program that will make a person prosperous. In fact it’s a way of control, putting people in a prison they cannot see. We are at a tipping point in our economy where a family can make more money on public assistance than working 2 full time minimum wage jobs. In some states it’s much more than that but it’s still an invisible prison keeping you tied to a system of control. It is a conditioning of people that trains them that this is the best they can hope for so they just give up. They learn to adapt and permanently live in survival mode. They also pass this poverty mentality down to their children. The problem is that these growing entitlement programs can’t be sustained by our government for very much longer. It is socialism plain and simple and the problem with socialism is sooner or later you run out of other peoples money. God doesn’t want you in poverty and neither do I.
As a people, we need to elect leaders who’s goal is to make prosperity and the American Dream a reality again. There are many great ideas out there but it can’t be achieved by one person. It’s going to take a lot of people working together with the same goal in order to make this happen. We need leaders who are not afraid to address the problems and hit them head on for the common good of the people and not the special interest groups or big businesses.
Once elected, that will be my main goal. Bring opportunities to the people so they can lift themselves out of poverty and break this curse. With God’s help, I know this is possible even though many have said it’s too late and this country will never recover.
Matthew 19:26 (KJV)
26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
